I had fun with this one. It all started with imagining what a knitting/crochet themed version of The Onion would look like. It spiraled from there.

And just because I had so much fun making these, and because I promised the designers I would credit them and, while I was at it, link to their blogs, here you go:

Incidentally, if you happen to spot Crasher Squirrel on one of your project pages, please pass along the image. His mate and 4 little kits miss him. Plus, he’s in breach of contract with National Geographic. (If this reference to Crasher Squirrel confuses you, read more about Crasher Squirrel here. He was kind of a “thing” a couple of years ago, but if you missed that thing, here you go.)

  1. I went in the bedroom and snuck a peak. Ahhhhhh- If that’s what it is, it’s in the wrong place. A bra maybe, but the number is all wrong.

  2. What great creativity and topnotch posting! PS – Pigs in Penang don’t wear clothes, it is too hot here. I wonder though when that Hooker is gonna dress up something other than my tail!

    • If I had had more time I would have loved to flesh this out with actual article content. I wonder what other tips Martha would give for a crafty inmate.

    • Aww thanks. I had a lot of fun with those photos. I want to learn more about Photoshop one day so that I can do even better squirrel photos.

    • Sort of like the well traveled camel, only he started out as the real thing. I love that original photo from Banff. When we were there as children, we had a similar incident. Only the squirrel jumped on my sister’s head. At least I think it was at Banff…
