I had fun with this one. It all started with imagining what a knitting/crochet themed version of The Onion would look like. It spiraled from there.

And just because I had so much fun making these, and because I promised the designers I would credit them and, while I was at it, link to their blogs, here you go:

Incidentally, if you happen to spot Crasher Squirrel on one of your project pages, please pass along the image. His mate and 4 little kits miss him. Plus, he’s in breach of contract with National Geographic. (If this reference to Crasher Squirrel confuses you, read more about Crasher Squirrel here. He was kind of a “thing” a couple of years ago, but if you missed that thing, here you go.)

My human’s wife is knitting me a sweater for a trip we’re going to take this summer (to Alaska) I think she needs some help from you and your friends. Last time I looked I swear it had five legs in it.

One of them is for your tail, natch.
I went in the bedroom and snuck a peak. Ahhhhhh- If that’s what it is, it’s in the wrong place. A bra maybe, but the number is all wrong.

What great creativity and topnotch posting! PS – Pigs in Penang don’t wear clothes, it is too hot here. I wonder though when that Hooker is gonna dress up something other than my tail!
Awesome! That’s so creative!
Ahahaha I love everything about this! Especially the Martha Stewart prison tips.
If I had had more time I would have loved to flesh this out with actual article content. I wonder what other tips Martha would give for a crafty inmate.
Very creative!
Love this! Such a fun idea, although I think the photo-bombing squirrel is my favourite 🙂
Aww thanks. I had a lot of fun with those photos. I want to learn more about Photoshop one day so that I can do even better squirrel photos.

you are very talented! This is the best I’ve seen yet!
This is SO cute. What a great idea. I didn’t know about crasher squirrel, so it’s fun learning about the fun I missed!
Sort of like the well traveled camel, only he started out as the real thing. I love that original photo from Banff. When we were there as children, we had a similar incident. Only the squirrel jumped on my sister’s head. At least I think it was at Banff…
such a funny post thank you
You’re welcome. Are you participating in the blog carnival too?
So clever! What a cute idea!
Well done! Excellent idea & funny
Ha ha! This is awesome and so creative! I love it. If war criminals aren’t tight knitters, they should be!
Hahahahahahahahahahaha! I needed to read this blog post tonight… Between the squirrel, pirates and are war criminals tight knitters! Awesome.
Great post! Thanks for the laugh : )
What a clever idea!
Haha! Great.
that is absolutely hilarious! I love the Dalai Lama’s fear of steeks 😀
