Earlier this week, XKCD posted this Web wonderfully silly Web comic: Questions Found in Google Autocomplete.
This got me thinking. When we knitters approach the great Google oracle, what funny/silly/awkward/strange/just plain wrong questions do we ask?
So I googled. And then I had to make a graphic of my own. Enjoy.
I’d always go with pointy needles myself, except maybe on aeroplanes! 😉
Brilliant! My favourite is ‘Knitting like an electric Nan’ – that made me giggle!
Do you know what an electric nan is?
Absolutely no idea! It just sounds like the sort of thing a five year old would say to someone who is knitting very fast!
I’m just surprised it shows up on autocomplete.
Me too. Some people are very strange!
Hahaha “knitting like an electric nan” one of my favourite quotes ever. It’s a line from a British TV show called Peep Show, hence its appearance in autocomplete. Plenty of funny lines in that show.
What on earth IS an electric nan though? Are we talking Indian flatbread?
Haven’t seen Peep Show but being English I’d say they mean Nan as in Grandma. That’s funny!
Brilliant!
Knitting needle injuries always comes up for me whenever I type knitting into google.
Interesting! I see some ideas for future posts in there…
Who knit Mr. Rogers’ sweaters? His mother, of course! 🙂
The search for Mr. Rogers’ mother begins…
